Rain Rain come again

My mom was serving me dosa, and I was listening to my favorite music on the radio, sitting at my window pane. I could hear my neighbor yell atop of his car’s engine at his wife, who forgot to give his office file. Until the time she came, I could see the frustration building like a wave of tsunami on my neighbors face. To add some juice, a football that will not even get itself claimed for a sticker for the forthcoming world cup landed on the roof of the car. With the engine still, my neighbor broke out of his car yelling on a kid who will well qualify for a disinfectant or a soap advertisement with the loads of dirt that he had adorned himself. Honestly I admired the endurance and strength of my neighbor who could shout on a sunny day for almost 10 minutes non-stop without getting his larynx dried. He was chasing the kido, but just to realize that his tuxedo was getting covered by dust. In the meantime, his wife came out and was running behind his husband, to tell him that the car began to move as the engine and the gear were right enough to move on. Seeing this kido and his team, and of course me began laughing. The kido team could not resist, that they even began dancing. My neighbor was stopping the car from the engine side and was yelling at his wife who was attempting to get into the car, to make a desperate effort to stop it, I even wondered if I should call her the desperate house wife, with a smile, when my mother began yelling at me to stop the tap in the bathroom. With contempt I had to leave the scene and rush to stop the tap. As I did, I heard a sound, that was familiar because of its rhythm, and the energy it used to bring to me, ever since I was a child. As I banged the door of my bathroom, to trace the sound, I heard a much louder bang around. For a second I wondered if the desperate housewife’s desperate attempt to stop the car had caused her, all her husbands’ cash. But, when I collected my senses, I was drenched in joy before my thoughts rushed me to drench me in rain which I could not control imagining. As I rushed out of my home, I saw the my neighbor and his wife hugging each other inside their car , as the rain played rhythm on their cars top. My kido team did not mind the rain and continued their football and one of them pointed to my neighbor to see that the dirt mark on his car was getting erased as the rain poured down. My neighbor acknowledged the kid with a smile as he further tightened his hug on his wife. For a couple of minutes I could not stop thanking rain, for bringing in smiles, reducing tension, cleaning dirt – physical and mental, and on top of it bringing in happiness all around. What more I can ask for from Mother Nature on that then sunny Chennai morning, when I took off from work?

Blunder Thunder-Thunder Blunder

It makes me wonder,
Why people make a thunder out of any blunder,
Then I realized it’s the sound of that thunder that can cover up for any of their blunder,
Wish I was a kinder,
Seeing all these nonsense in wonder, and wander!

Understood what Under Stood

It was another day at work and just then Akshay finished saying to his bus mate,'What man it’s the same s..t, another day!' And called Joe for a coffee at 15:00 hrs so that they can talk on the millionaire who was then a slum dog. Sashank was as usual relaxed and was sighing at Akshay, as he made the statement.

The day began as usual, and mails began to pour in.Ram was at his high, responding to mails impulsively, with a hand on his head.Cursing himself for having joined the company and added pepper to it by thinking, it would have been heavens had he moved to Uncle Sam!

Shekar, the office assistant who stood for a long time seeing Akshay’s action , begged his pardon and said, ‘Akshay ji, relax , you seem very much frustrated, there is nothing so much to worry in life, life will keep going and time will take care of everything’. This statement made Akshay to get on his nerves and say, ‘Get out you old Fakir’. Shekar went out politely and said to Kapoor his commerade that, ‘Akshay ji just called him Mahatma Gandhi, with a smile and sat on his stool’.

The time was half past 11 and Akshay’s mobile phone rang. Akshay generally hates answering to unknown numbers and with a frown he decided to shout at whoever is on the other end. Since it was 10th time that number flashed on his mobile, within a span of 10 minutes.

Akshay heard a hoarse voice that wanted to confirm his name by asking, ‘It is Akshay? In a local slang’.

Akshay, responded, ‘yes, what the hell do you want, are you any credit card company , I don’t want you …..,if not tell what do you want, I am going for a meeting’.

The hoarse voice asked , ‘Do you know Param?’

Akshay said, ‘Yes, he was my college mate, what’s to him?’

The hoarse voice said, ‘He is lying on the road near the toll plaza near Helical electronic city without any consciousness, your number is the first in his mobile and can you come immediately’.

Akshay latently responded, ‘What happened, is he OK, please call a ambulance and added that he is in the other end of the city’ and the phone got cut.

Akshay ran cold for a moment and cursed himself for not picking the phone all the while and recalled the worst fight he had with Param during the college days despite Param being his neighbour.

Akshay ran helpless and he called up his parents and asked them to visit Param’s house and call up to confirm if it was Param who was lying unconscious or it was a prank.

Thirty minutes later, a road traffic constable called up Akshay from the same number and informed that Param is taken to the hospital.

Akshay always envied Param, since Param went to Uncle Sam for his higher edu, had a ford, earned a big cheque, owned a house and most importantly had a girl friend.

However, Akshay, rightly surpassed his ego and Freudian thoughts, and rang up his father and told him to rush to Parvathi hospital where Param, was taken to.

After an hour it was learnt that Param was already dead!

Akshay couldn’t control his tears and felt helpless. Shekar came in and asked what happened? Akshay shared the whole incident.

70-year-ol Shekar politely then said, never envy, anger is the cause of all misery, never ignore anyone, for someone you will be the world and in world you will be just some one, Akshay ji. He further said the famous history of what Alexander the great told his courtsmen, ‘ Ensure that my hand is outside my coffin, the world will then know even Alexander who conquered everything , took nothing in his hand when he died’.

That moment Akshay understood what under stood for every human rather every living being .

Hi Guys...
Just realized anything thats good needs to be shared and have got into a phase of paraphrasing, and here we go:

"We must not cease from exploration. And the end of all our exploring will be to arrive where we began and to know the place for the first time."*

HOW OFTEN YOU STAND IN THE MID OF CROSS ROADS?

It is a well known trick of time, that each one needs to reach a cross road to make a choice between what one wants and what is offered. Interestingly not just the residents around Ashok Pillar, but also every single person trying to reach: Vadapalani, Saidapet, K.K.Nagar and Ashok Nagar perse is tested by the trick of time everyday.

A commoner, who is destined to go to Vadapalani from Guindy, would first reach the signal next to the BSNL office in Ashok Nagar. It’s from there the real nightmare starts for any driver and gives an adrenaline rush for the passengers. Considering the probability that the driver chooses to drive along the lane adjacent to the RTO office and the rehabilitation centre, upon reaching the next junction adjacent to Udhyam theatre, needs to traverse the road in a very crude manner to reach the left turn that would lead to Vadapalani. In this journey between BSNL office and the left turn next to Ashok Pillar post office , the driver needs to by pass vehicles destined to K.K.Nagar that cruise the roads diagonally just opposite to the rehabilitation centre. If still with life, then the driver’s next challenge would be to confront vehicles destined to Saidapet traversing opposite to Udhayam theatre. If still alive, then the drive continues towards the destination – Vadapalani.

Such a chaotic traffic regulation has screwed the life of pedestrians. It is now impossible for children, women and the geriatric population to cross the roads. The other day the traffic police was caught between the traffic and upon crossing the road his body language clearly showed a dismay in the new traffic regulation.

Change is the only thing that keeps changing, but it is to be noted that changes at the cost of life is not a very positive change.

As a resident utilizing this road zone, I would like to make an appeal to the traffic authorities to make changes that can succor a fear free commutation with lesser adrenaline rush.

The residents and the consumers of this cross road will wait with crossed fingers for an appropriate action at the earliest!!

BEND IT LIKE-INDIA

Bend It like INDIA

Hey you slaves wipe my shoe,

Stitch my shirt and wash the loo,

Who are you and why do you talk,

One more word and you won’t walk,

Pay the tax and work with axe,

‘No’ to tax and you are killed with the axe,

Taste the opium and give me spice,

You can live the life so nice,

If you say no, pay the price,

Only porridge and no more rice,

Who are they?

Who are they?

Let us fight, it’s our land,

Mangal Pandey plotted a plan,

Flop was the mutiny and happy was John,

It was not the destiny, though Mangal’s plans were gone,

Spread like fire, and raise up my dear,

Chuck out the fear, get ready for the battle that’s near,

Galloped the horses of Jhansi ki rani,

Who kissed death and remains our desh ki rani,

Give them a taste of their own medicine,

But show John what’s Indian tradition,

Join hands,

To drive them off Indian sands,

Came in Bapu and there was chacha,

Who said: let’s not fight, let’s not fight!

You can speak, you can write,

If they ask- show your might,

Divide and rule, divide and rule,

Gone were the thoughts of the British school,

Quit India, Quit India!

From north to south, east to west,

Was the chant,

With every pant,

A march in March…

The Dandi march,

To make the salt of our own,

While unity amongst Indians was getting honed,

Bose decided for Azad Hind,

Considered that’s the only way to proclaim Jai-Hind,

After the reign of Mountbatten,

The Britishers could no longer pass on the batten,

Oh my god! Oh my god! Thank them all in this Fall,

For helping us all to smile and stroll,

She is sixty, yet so young,

Sixty times sixty still she will be young,

Stand up still,

Like a hill,

Truth alone triumphs!!!

So Bend it like India.
